RYAN and JOY Same Day Edit
Derek Yee Video team went to Dumaguete for Ryan and Joy's wedding. When we arrived, we had no idea what was in stored for us. Little did we know that we were set to lots of adventures and misadventures. Something which we truly enjoyed and will never forget. More than our epic stories, there's one story in Dumaguete that everyone shall forever cherish. The Story of RYAN and JOY: Joy is a Banker and Ryan is her Client. (From the Bride's Version) I met Ryan 5 years ago. The first time I saw him, I felt something unusual and little did I know back then that we had the same feelings. A few months later, he opened an account at our bank just to get to know me, a thing he confessed later on. We became friends through our regular conversations on the phone but we never had the chance to hang out outside of work. We had pet names for each other, "ate dear" and "kuya dear." Years passed once more and we both had internal issues with our own personal lives. After a while, he eventually started opening up and showed a clearer motive of pursuing a relationship with me. He tried inviting me to go trekking on Mt. Talinis and even proposed that I join their club called Cuernos but I turned them all down along with other friendly gestures asking for a date. He didn't stop there though, he continuously sent me food at work inspite of all the rejections. I wanted to say that I liked him back then but fear held me back at the time. So nothing really developed and the friendship faded... But the story didn't end there, I was so convinced already that Ryan was the one I would share my life with. I prayed to God and put all my faith in him, believed that he would lay out all the answers and give me signs that would eventually lead me back to Ryan. And so God did. Ryan and I crossed paths again and I felt the so much excitement as I knew deep within myself that it was already time. And since then, both Ryan and I have gotten a lot closer to each other and closer to God, to the point that he even stopped his old habit of smoking. When the right time came and I felt that we were both ready, we went on that trekking trip again and I knew then and there that day was what I had been waiting for so many years. He asked me to marry him and I, with all the happiness even the world could not contain, said YES.
